    • Further facilities in the field of preventive examinations during the epidemic (3)
Work is underway on further changes to the anti-crisis special act. This time, the changes are to largely concern the issue of preventive examinations and medical examinations necessary for the performance of certain professions.
    • Lower costs of preventive examinations and new methodological indications for their conduct (4)
At the end of last year, changes to the regulations on medical examinations of employees came into force. • The subject of the issue
    • OHS training for employees who remove roofs from snow (8)
Forecasts for this year's winter are still quite optimistic - rather warm and rainy. But the weather likes to surprise. If it does snow, the snow removal equipment will go in motion. Employees carrying out work involving snow removal from roofs are exposed to many occupational hazards. In addition to removing snow from roofs, they can also perform work related to the removal of overhangs, icicles, and clearing gutters and downspouts. One of the main risks, however, is a fall from a height, which is exacerbated by the need to walk on a slippery surface of the roof, often in unfavorable weather conditions. Proper training is the way to reduce the number of injuries and accidents at work.

    • "Unless the employer decides otherwise", i.e. on creating law during an epidemic (12)
The next bills that the government is preparing in connection with COVID-19 do not give rise to optimism. The legal trash in force until December 27 and December 2020 was the order to cover the mouth and nose in workplaces when more than one person was in the room. However, the employer could have decided that the above order would not apply and that it would not be necessary to wear masks at work. So, as always, everything is clear. Are you sure?

  • The admissibility of employees refraining from working in health care facilities in the light of the issues of art 210 of the Labor Code (14)
The author analyzes the regulation contained in Art. 210 of the Labor Code with particular emphasis on healthcare professionals. The article discusses the possibility of applying paragraph 5 to healthcare professionals. Further on, the author indicates the position of jurisprudence and doctrine, and proposes a change in the interpretation of Art. 210 § 5 with regard to some of these employees. The current position of jurisprudence and doctrine deprived health care workers of the right to stop work or leave the post if there is a threat to the health or life of the employee or other people. The experience of the COVID-19 epidemic requires a revision of this position, to which the author refers to arguments from the linguistic interpretation of Art. 210 of the Labor Code. Some representatives of the doctrine indicated by the author also seem to agree with the thesis presented in the article.
