- Occupational health and safety in a chemical plant
The use of chemical substances in work processes causes the employer to act as a downstream user within the meaning of REACH. Its role is to provide employees with access to information in relation to substances or preparations which they use or to which they may be exposed during their work and obligations under Art. 35 and 37 of REACH Regulation (verified by labor inspectors as part of control and supervision activities). What, from the point of view of chemical hazards, pay special attention during the OHS audit of a chemical company? In the article, we discuss problems related to the presence of chemical agents in the workplace and present the employer's obligations regarding corrective actions taken at the workplace.
