Do you run a household appliances store? Check what your duties are
Question 1: I run an ABC electrical goods store where I sell various types of batteries, the so-called AAA and AA sticks and others, e.g. lithium, zinc-carbon, etc. Do I have to be entered in the BDO in section V, table 1, as introducing batteries or accumulators? Question 2: Another question concerns used fluorescent lamps brought by customers. Should we have an entry in the BDO in this respect? If so, in what department? How should the whole procedure of managing these fluorescent lamps look like, starting with receiving from the customer and ending with handing over to a disposal company? What formal and legal requirements do we have to keep? What documents should we have? What records should we keep in order to comply with the law? Answer 1: An ABC store that sells batteries (regardless of their type) is not subject to entry into the BDO if it purchases them from distributors located in our country and resells them. However, it should be checked whether the company from which it buys these batteries itself has an entry in the BDO for placing them on the market in the territory of the Republic of Poland.
  • Export and import of products - how to keep records of packaging
Question: The company imports packaging products from China, as well as the packaging itself, to Poland, and then passes some of these products to other companies for further distribution, the rest is sent to its stores in Poland and to other stores in the EU and outside the EU . Should the records of the packaging placed on the market contain the products in the packaging that we shipped abroad in this arrangement? Does the packaging placed on the market also include those that, after processing, will bear the logos of other companies from Poland, to which we pass the products for further distribution? And are the cartons without any logo, purchased from a Polish company, in which we pack products for domestic shipment, also included in the packaging records?
