    On May 4, the President of the Act of April 30, 2020 amending certain acts regarding protection measures in connection with the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus was transmitted to the president. The main purpose of the package of laws called the anti-crisis shield is to prevent the negative effects of economic changes resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. The Act introduces, among others shifting reporting dates on environmental protection. What else has changed?

    Question: We run so-called pre-storage of medical waste. Must there be instructions for disinfecting the room? If so, what should it contain?
  • End-of-life vehicle record card - when to use it
    Question: I keep a record card of end-of-life vehicles, complete passenger cars with the code 16 01 04 and incomplete 16 01 06, there are, whereas the waste record card complete trucks 16 01 04 and incomplete 16 01 06. Going further, I disassemble vehicles and I assign individual parts under waste codes: ferrous metals, non-ferrous tires, etc., break them down according to the disassembly scheme and end up in the waste record sheets 160117, 160118, 160103 etc. What about trucks that are dismantled? According to BDO, when adopted as a whole, they go to the waste register, not the vehicle record. How should I define them in relation to BDO and keeping records?
  • VIEP has imposed a penalty on us - can we appeal
    Question: The Voivodship Inspectorate for Environmental Protection imposed on our company a fine of PLN 5,000. This penalty was imposed for conducting activities subject to the obligation to enter in the Waste Database without this entry in the period from 18 September 2018 to 18 June 2019 (date when we received the entry). Is there a provision that would allow you to waive the penalty? Is it possible to appeal against this decision?
