- Principles of post-production waste storage in a nutshell
Question: As part of the production (fish processing) waste is generated, such as disposable clothing (caps, aprons, sleeves), which we classify under the code 15 02 03. The plant has bins in about 20 locations, from where the waste is later transferred to an external container, in where we store them and transfer them to an external company. Do these 20 bins in production, with a capacity of about 35 l each, have to be marked with a waste code and treated as a waste storage site? Is the waste storage site only the collective container set outside that receives waste from these 20 locations? Bins are emptied 2-3 times a day.
- Check if you need to report on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer (ODS)
Question: We keep device cards in the Central Register of Operators (CRO). These devices filled with controlled substances are used in the plant for cooling purposes. Does the establishment need to report on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer (ODS) and Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases (f-gases) in the Reporting Database (BDS)? Also, is the methylene chloride (CAS No. 75-09-2) that we use to clean the installation subject to BDS?
- On whose side is the obligation to submit the ADR report
Question: A tanker truck marked with ADR plates brings diesel fuel to the company's petrol station. Is the workplace to which the goods are imported obliged to prepare an annual ADR report? The transport is carried out by an external entity (ON supplier). On the premises of the workplace there is a distributor for refueling company vehicles and tanks into which diesel oil is unloaded from the tanker.
- Compendium of knowledge on safety data sheets for hazardous substances - part I
Question: In order to correctly classify waste, a safety data sheet is often needed. If the product was purchased in 2020 and its card was updated in 2022, is the entrepreneur who has been using the same product since 2020 obliged to update such card, or is the supplier obliged to provide the most up-to-date version?
