  • Eye and face protection - products supporting the fight against the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus (8)
    In the spring of 2021, when this article was being written, the use of masks in public spaces was still in force in Poland. Other (previously permitted) methods of covering the mouth and nose, i.e. with the use of scarves, scarves or other clothing items, as well as face shields (commonly known as visors) - were forbidden. The term "screening methods" was used on purpose, as due to the way viruses are transmitted to the body, eye and face protection may only be additional security elements. The article discusses the role of protective measures for ocular and face protection in reducing threats related to the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus.

    The article describes in a synthetic way the basic legal requirements for respiratory protective equipment and the results of surveys regarding the experiences of users of such equipment and their expectations as to the functionality of the application. General assumptions for the development of the application were also presented.

    The article presents selected results of the study "Diagnosis and forecast of the OSH services market and characteristics of the OSH service in Poland", carried out in 2020. The study included telephone questionnaire interviews, a sample of 500 representatives of the in-house health and safety service OSH specialists from outside the workplace. The article focuses on the results concerning the structure of the health and safety service, conditions for entering the profession and professional promotion, as well as employment conditions in the health and safety service, as well as the sources of satisfaction and professional difficulties.
  • Innovations in the field of OSH in Polish enterprises during the COVID-19 epidemic (20)
    The article presents the level of implementation of organizational innovations in Poland compared to other countries. In the light of these statistics, Poland ranks among the worst in terms of innovation. Meanwhile, innovation may also be demonstrated by the ability to quickly react to changes in the immediate and more distant environment of the enterprise and to quickly implement previously unused methods and organization of work in order to ensure business continuity. Polish enterprises demonstrated such skills in the face of the COVID-19 epidemic.
  • Methods of occupational risk assessment in the use of nanomaterials (24)
    The estimated methods of occupational risk assessment presented in the article are currently the only solution enabling the proper management of the risk posed by the designed nanomaterials and taking appropriate actions to reduce the risks, the implementation of these methods will enable Polish employers to adapt to the recommendations resulting from the Directive 98 / 24EC in the area of occupational risk management related to these specific chemical substances.
