    • Work safety under the supervision of cameras - practical doubts and the role of the labor inspector
      It is the employer's obligation to supervise the work process. A special form is video monitoring, which can be used in particular when it is necessary to provide employees with safe working conditions. When deciding to introduce cameras to the workplace, the employer must be aware of the limitations related to their use and that the monitoring of the work process is subject to control by labor inspectors.

    • From April 1, higher amounts of one-off compensation for accidents at work
      From April, we can count on 108 PLN more for each percentage of permanent or long-term damage to health than before. The new amounts are given in the announcement of the minister of the family, labor and social policy of 21 March 2018 regarding the amount of one-time compensation for an accident at work or occupational disease (M.P. item 270).
    • National Labor Inspectorate on accidents at work on construction sites
      PIP in 2018 conducted over 7,000 inspection of construction sites. In 90% of cases, labor inspectors had to reach for an administrative decision to settle irregularities related to work safety.
