      Falls constitute an important health issue. They cause significant morbidity, mortality and have marked psychological effects on the individual, too. The aim of this study has been to determine parameters describing human movement strategies for balance and the reaction if balance is lost as a result of an unstable ground, and to attempt to describe the types of falls.

      The goal of this paper is to verify the correlations between adaptive and maladaptive perfectionism and the selected demographic and job characteristics vs. professional burnout among medical laboratory scientists in Poland.
    • Judgment of the morality of an individual responsible for a fatal workplace accident involving subordinates (261)
      The aim of the study was to verify the hypothesis that additional information about the perpetrator responsible for the death of subordinates at the workplace may influence the assessment of morality. The article contains the results on an empirical study conducted among young adult working Silesians, who were asked to evaluate the morality of the person responsible for the decision, in line with which miners had started working on 6th October 2014. On that day miners died following an explosion in the “Mysłowice-Wesoła” methane mine in the Polish Silesia region.
    • Evaluation of fungal aerosol exposure at selected workplaces contaminated with organic dust of various origins (269)
      In recent years, an increase in the number of people suffering from diseases caused by mold and yeast-like fungi has been observed. Nevertheless, knowledge about the biodiversity of fungal pathogens in the work environment is still insufficient. The aim of the work was to assess the exposure to fungi propagated by air in a work environment contaminated with organic dust of plant and animal origin.

      Performing services in the field of cosmetology with a high degree of invasiveness is associated with the risk of infection with blood-borne pathogens. The aim of the work was to analyze the frequency of stabbing with sharp equipment, professional risk factors for stabbing and the methods of prevention used among cosmetology salon employees.
    • Optimization of the diethyl sulphate determination method at work stations (291)
      Diethyl sulphate is a substance classified as a carcinogenic substance. In Poland, the maximum allowable concentration for this sub-state in the air at workplaces has not been established. In connection with the use of DES in domestic enterprises, there was a need to develop a sensitive method for the determination of diethyl sulphate in the work environment.

      The analysis of the impact of the subjective feeling of the intensity of work stress and its factors on the level of overall job satisfaction was analyzed.       A radiopharmaceutical is a product that is a combination of a non-radioactive chemical compound and an isotope tracer. On the rich list of isotopes used in medicine, 2 - technetium-99m and fluor-18 deserve attention.

      Many women are exposed to carbon disulfide hazards at work every day. Working with CS2 may cause some women to experience abnormalities in their reproductive health. Until now obtained data is generally concentrated on the health effects of CS2 observed in the viscose industry.
