- Machinery designing and manufacturing
The manufacturer or his authorized representative should ensure that a risk assessment is carried out to determine the essential safety and health requirements applicable to the machine.
- Machine instructions
A very important requirement is that the machine placed on the market or put into service is equipped with instructions. The instructions for the machine must be drawn up in at least one official language of the European Union.
- Ensuring safe machine operation
The machine or any of its parts should allow safe operation. First of all, the machine must be designed and constructed in such a way that, in the intended conditions of its operation, it is minimized by the operator: discomfort, fatigue, physical strain, and mental strain.
- Machine lighting
The machine - despite ambient lighting of normal intensity - should be equipped with lighting: it is an integral part of it, suitable for the activities performed, if its absence may cause a risk. Such lighting can not cause: nuisance areas of shadows, tiring glare, dangerous strobe effect caused by lighting moving machine parts.
- Promotional materials on machines
The content of promotional materials describing the machine must not contradict the instruction referring to health and safety issues. The content contained in the promotional material regarding the emission parameters of the machine must be the same as in the instructions referring to the health and safety issues.
